Preface

Beware the beast Man, for he is the Devil's pawn. Alone among God's primates, he kills for sport or lust or greed. Yea, he will murder his brother to possess his brother's land. Let him not breed in great numbers, for he will make a desert of his home and yours. Shun him; drive him back into his jungle lair, for he is the harbinger of death. - The Lawgiver

Welcome to the Ultimate Planet of the Apes, where I strive to create an eventually definitive timeline for the Planet of the Apes franchise. Within the Planet of the Apes universe there are infinite timeline combinations and variations according to the franchise's time-travelling and 'infinite lane highway' theories (refer to Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Battle for ..., Conspiracy of ..., and Tarzan on the ... for further explanations). This website explores several of these timelines set out within the films, tv series, comics and novels. This website was not made to compete with the upcoming official multiple lane timeline, as the lanes can be made up of infinite possibilities; I aimed to expand on them and include more content that the official timeline may not cover due to rights and licensing. Dates if not available were approximated based on other materials from the Planet of the Apes universe and flight paths/timeline crossovers have been calculated under infinite lane possibilities.

Additional - This website has had many incarnations since October 2015 and is always updating and adding new dates when new information or stories are released within the Planet of the Apes universe. I'd like to thank the members of the following Facebook groups for the encouragement and support - The Official Planet of the Apes Universe, Planet of the Apes Nation and the Planet Of The Apes TV Show 1974 (Fan Group). I'd especially like to thank Ed Duignan at The Official Planet of the Apes Universe for listening to my timeline ramblings and helping me with a few dates, Drew Gaska for correcting some dates in these timelines, and also expanding on the multiple lane timeline theory in his book Conspiracy of the Planet of the Apes, and to Rich Handley for helping me out with tracking down some of the rarer Planet of the Apes comics and for his Timeline of the Planet of the Apes reference book which I would be absolutely lost without.
